Are animals resurrected and judged in Islam? This is what the Qur'an and the hadith say
One of the issues debated in Islamic discussions surrounding the Hour or the Day of Resurrection, for example, could be: that is, when human beings are raised from their graves and their deeds brought to trial, are these beings that will also be revived and given an account of their lives, including that birds and animals will enter Paradise, and perhaps their destiny as well? Will they be sent to Hell?
The Qur'an mentions that God- Almighty - have also warned people about what applies to living creatures. Thus, he distinguishes between the human moral accountability and other beings from all that live with us and have had any connection in this world and whose fate, with reference to the divine justice and mercy, is also accounted.
The Qur'an mentions:
"There is no kind of living being walking in the earth, nor flying being spreading its wings; except the communities of living beings that you are given; and God did not leave out anything from the record." Qur'an 6:38,
which is the best explanation where by: 'The living beings that you are given'; does imply of living creatures that walk on the ground or birds that fly with their wings as distinct kinds; in the record of creation. They are also mentioned in 81; 5,
"AND WHEN THE BEASTS OF THE FIEL DARE GATHERED TOGETHER.
Thus we also find in The Qur'an a verse: "When people begin to compare what has been taught to us with that, he can start with the animal," and; "A thousand communities of living things would make this animal one of the 'communities'". This does apply to us in the sense that God recognizes them as communities and makes them stand together in time of the judgement where they shall gather to meet God Almighty.
However, none of the texts in Islam suggest anything regarding whether animals enter Paradise and Hell like human beings.
Are Animals Countable as human beings?
In Islamic discourse, only man (which includes both males and females of his species; that of moral human being) has gained reason and awareness and has been commissioned to perform worship and distinguish what is right and wrong, and thus has achieved the criterion to attain the Paradise and the Hell of eternal life, which for animals is not taken place. Also, there is a mention in the Hadith which means: "You are raising your kids while treating them so good, but one day even the horny would get retribution against a creature without horns on the day of judgement (which means there can be fairness in such relationship)." so the judgement on this level implies what they gain their natural rights and there would not be anything unjust whether by a beast or from another man without justice. The meaning is not that there would be a trial and judgement as is prescribed for man. What are the results for those animals?
The answer is as explained above; there would be fairness between beasts, and thus, justice between them will prevail, or some of them will serve a certain benefit to some people for the duration for the worldly life, not in the Hereafter. There is an obvious distinction in the Hadith which indicates the judgement that will takes place only with man not the rest other creations, but instead; justice should prevailed which may take different form and kind.
So where is their home in which we are referring to it above for human beings; man- female- and male?
Islamic scholars have a specific view about this by the end of our lifetime, which also would seem, would make us amazed with his creative power, and ofcourse, all with great divine power. At the end, the animals would return to nothingness after the due process of the restoration of their justice be completely fulfilled the same way described for the restoration of the natural right among the children of adam, but with a slightly or more profound implication; That at the end animals would become dust thesame way the verse of Suratul Naba (78: 40) says: "Oh how I wish that I were dirt," for a people will atone their acts on earth.
So, are animals resurrected in Islam?
What about birds and other wild and tame beasts?
This is the question that is often discussed during religious topics on doomsday, or Judgment Day.
According to the divine texts of Islamic religion – Qur'an and Hadith - yes, animals, wild and domestic, will resurrect on the doomsday, and will come to meet God almighty with birds of heaven and with earthly beings of all sort that God created on the face of earth.
Some authorities also say it can be a divine gathering of creatures to testify that no particle would be injustice when they get restored to the lord.
