Should you obey the orders given by the dead in your dreams?
Assume that you see me in your dreams! Do I know that I came in your dreams? I certainly don't. If it was really me who came in the dream, shouldn't I have known first?
The coming of someone in a dream is not dependent on the will of the one who comes. Rather, it depends on the intention of the one who sees it.
If a dead or living person comes to your dream, he really did not come. You think he came. That's all. Therefore, there is no room for someone coming in a dream to give orders.
Allah has perfected this religion through His Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him). He has not left out any aspect of the religion. In that case, there is no need to issue any orders through dreams. If God issues orders through dreams, then the religion has not been completed through the prophets.
If God issues orders through dreams, there is no need for Him to have sent any prophet. Prophets do not have to suffer many atrocities. Everyone can be commanded to do everything in their dreams.
Since prophets have a direct connection with God, we see in the hadiths that only their dreams are revelations.
If you know that someone is commanding you in a dream, it does not mean that you are imagining it, but rather that ‘he came; he commanded’.
Let’s assume that someone sees in a dream something like ‘Pray so many rak’ahs on this night!’ This is definitely not a dream from God.
Because God has shown us through the Prophet (peace be upon him) that we should pray so many rak’ahs on this day. The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not make any mistake in showing us through a dream.
And if such messages come from God, then they should be said like this in the dreams of all Muslims. Because everyone is equal in worship. Showing a good deed in the religion to only one person and not showing it to others is against God’s justice.
If someone is told in a dream, ‘A righteous person is buried here; build a shrine for him there,’ that too is a dream from Satan.
Because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the construction of buildings, the erection of places of worship, and the painting of tombs on the graves of the dead.

Then he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordering its leveling."
God has already informed us through the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to demolish the buildings that have been erected.
See: Muslim 1764
Since God will not give a message that contradicts that announcement, we can see that this is the work of Satan.
Since we have explained this in detail in our book Dreams with the sources of Hadith, we will not mention those sources here. For more details, please refer to that book.
