How to dress nicely with Islamic manners: 

 start from the right beginning When clothes are an important blessing, providing comfort, protection and dignity. The process of dressing in Islamic etiquette is not simply an outward expression. It can be an opportunity to promote good manners and to remember Almighty God. 

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him) gave many Islamic guidelines for various daily life situations. 

The following guidance explains some general Islamic etiquettes of dressing and the Muslim way to embrace them by learning them under the aspect of Islamic manners. Note: these manners are based on the Islamic teachings and practices and are not a criticism to other followers from other regions and cultures. All people from various civilizations and background have the right to believe in what he thinks right about fashion and clothes.

Start with the right beginning when wearing clothes One of the most common Sunnah that is attributed with the issue of wearing clothes is beginning with the right side, similar to the issue of Wudu. In authentic narration from our master Abu Hurayrah, may Almighty Allah be pleased with him, where the Messenger of Almighty Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ""When you wear your clothes and when you take your ablutions, start with the right side.

"'( Sunan Abi Dawud). 

This narration means that as you wear a shirt, an abayah or jacket etc., a Muslim would start with wearing the right side of the clothes, and then the left one. 

This seems to be very simple. What you can gain from performing a simple action like this is that it is an introduction to start every activity in relation with God; reminding that any good act will begin from the right. Dua for wearing new clothes Islam encourage wearing new clothes and not being greedy or possessive over anything. But the joy of owning new clothes should lead the Muslim to express their gratefulness towards the Almighty God for providing them with such blessings. 

In one of the authentic narration from our master Abu Sa'id (may Almighty Allah be pleased with him), he mentioned: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would wear a new garment, he would then mention its name and then say: 'O Allah praise belongs to you, You have clothed me with this garment, I ask you for its good and good for which it has been made, and I seek refuge in You from the evil and evil for which it has been made.'"'( Jami' at-Tirmidhi).

 The Islamic lesson from this Supplication: That new clothes should remind the owner about its Source, thus make them grateful. It means that each new attire for a Muslim should act as a reminder of all previous attire provided for them by Almighty Allah, and make them grateful. 

In order to be protected against its evil or evil used in its production, as the owner should not wear it out of arrogance or ostentation. Avoid extravagance in clothes Many have different ways in using their wealth. Some may spend their money extravagantly on clothes, especially when these clothes are produced from high value materials and expensive brand names. 

However, this practice is discouraged in Islam. 

It is considered wasting money, and it leads to pride and ostentation.A Muslim is encouraged to dress well, and keep themselves neat and clean, but the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) advised against extravagance in clothes, since such habit would reflect negatively in the character of the person. In one narration the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him) advised concerning extravagance in clothes: 'Beware of extravagance in your clothes, for it is one type of Pride.' Narrated by Ahmed and Tabarani". Islam advises its followers to be clean and presentable, but not to show off the costly labels and fancy styles that have no value in the eyes of Allah. 

Such things will cause them to show scorn and despise others, which are negative traits of pride that can harm your attitude and lead to your disgrace in the hereafter. 

Also they can lose their good manners and will soon find themselves ashamed when they return to normal conditions. It's also important to mention here the narration warning against letting one's clothing drag on the ground. Sahih Muslim reported that one of those who would have nothing to do with such person on the Day of Judgment is the one who, out of pride, drags his loincloth below the ankles. 

Thus we can see that extravagance in clothing is a very harmful behavior that must be avoided.A Muslim can and should dress well, keeping his clothes clean, neat and befitting the occasion but with simple means and good sense of fashion without involving into any kind of extravagance that lead to the owner to a disastrous behavior or a loss of dignity. Dressing With Gratitude and Humility The etiquette of wearing clothes, as any Islamic etiquette, begins with remembrance of God and humble devotion. Starting with the right side to wear clothes is not just about logic; it's an introduction to right attitudes. 

When we put on fresh clothes, we can appreciate what our Creator has blessed us with. This then serves as a call to remember our humbleness. For if we keep the excesses of attire away and refuse vanity in dress, we can keep away some of our greatest character imperfections. Thus, when we learn how to honor, thank and appreciate for what we wear daily, we turn it to a spiritual habit, where we build character and stay tethered to our God- appointed end
